One day, Kit walked into the kitchen, where Felicity and Katelyn were hanging out. "We should do something today." She said.
"Like what?" Katelyn asked.
"Like... Baking cookies!" exclaimed Kit.
The girls pulled out their cookie recipe cards and examined them.
"This one looks yummy." Said Felicity, holding the Holiday Nut Ball cookie recipe.
"So does this one." Said Katelyn, grasping the Sugar and Spice cookie recipe.
So the girls got out the ingredients...
...And utensils.
Kit measured...
...And poured the sugar.
Felicity poured in the molasses.
Katelyn sifted...
...And poured the flour.
And finally Kit poured in the baking soda.
They all took turns stirring, then rolled out the dough, baked it, and waited, and waited, and waited, until finally, ding the timer went off and they pulled out the cookies.
All three girls reached for the platter and grabbed a warm cookie.
"Mm-mm-mm!"

School days! Part 1
Well, today I'm going to start a 4 part doll school project idea for you guys. I'm going to give tips and tricks on how to start up the best school ever for your dolls. Today is the first part, Give Her a Locker. So without further ado, let's get started!
Here's the locker I made for my doll. A shoe box makes a great locker, I taped the locker picture from the American Girl Doll School craft book to make mine, but if you don't have that book you can draw one on. For the decorations, I cut out pictures of Katelyn's doll friends from old AG catalogs and taped them onto the locker. If you want you can write their names on the pictures too. Postcards and Greeting cards make great posters for dolls, and then you can also write encouraging sayings on scrapbook paper for fun decorations.
To make the inside of the locker, first measure the width and depth of it then cut a piece of cardboard to fit inside. Wedge or tape it inside, then stack your dolls books on it. To make books, first cut a piece of cardboard 2" by 1 1/2" and tape paper over it to make a cover. If you want a very realistic cover, find a picture of a book cover online, then copy and paste it into a word document and change its size so it's the same size as your doll's book. Print it out and tape it onto the book. Store your doll's backpack and lunchbox in the locker, and if you want put some locker decorations on the inside.
Well, that was the first part of School Days. I'll have part 2 up in a day or so, so keep checking back for that!

First Day
Today I was up early to see... Katie's first day of school! She got a new backpack, school supplies, Oh yeah, and CLOTHES! She just left and I took the cutest pictures of her with her friend, Clair, who picked her up. Have a great first day, Katelyn!

It's starting to look a lot like fall...
Today Kit and Beckie decided to Go Green and take nature walk. They started walking on a path that I recommended to them. It was very pretty, they told me.
Along the way, Kit found a tree that she just loved. "I have to climb that tree!" She cried. "Oh brother..." sighed Rebecca. But you have to admit, Kit looks great up in that tree!
Rebecca thought the leaves to a bush were very nice, here's a picture of her with them.
A little further down the path and Beckie thought she heard something... It was a stream! They decided to take a break and sit on the rocks by the shore, here they are talking to each other.
Finally the reached the end of the path, where they laid out their blanket and had a delicious picnic.
"Yum!" says Kit.
So that's what my dolls did today. What did yours do?

My dolls!
So, I'm finally getting around to doing a Meet my Dolls post, how I got my dolls, how old they are, stuff like that. Anyway, here it is!
This is Elizabeth Jane Cole. She was my first American Girl! I got her in 2007, when I got a magazine advertising the dolls. I looked through it but couldn't decide which doll to get. Then, when my best friend got a doll, I knew I really wanted one. NOW! My mom gave me an advance on my allowance so I would have enough to buy Elizabeth. I was so happy she came, I love her she is a beautiful doll. Elizabeth is 14 and my oldest doll.
This is Felicity Augusta Merriman. She was my second doll. After I got Elizabeth, I really wanted her, because they were best friends. My grandma said she'd get me a doll for my 8 birthday, but on Christmas morning, she was sitting under the tree! My grandma got her early! I was so happy! Felicity is a beautiful doll, I just love everything about her, to her dark red hair to her sparkling green eyes! I love her! She is 12.
This is Margret Mildred Kitteredge, but we know her as... Kit! She was my third doll. When my dd had a conference in Chicago, he, my grandparents and I went to Chicago to celebrate my 8 birthday, late (it was half a year after my birthday, but I didn't mind!) I had saved up my money and bought Kit, who at the time looked the most like me. My dad also bought me the outfit to match Kit's, so we were twins! I took Kit everywhere with me that week! I'm so glad I bought Kit, she is so cute and unique! She is 10.
This is Rebecca Kieren Rubin. She was my fourth doll. As soon as Rebecca was released, I knew she was the right one for me. She was just so beautiful! I saved up my money and bought her. She is the prettiest doll ever, with her brown curls and bright hazel eyes, I just love her so much! She is 9.
This is Katelyn Haley White. She is my 5 American Girl. I was sure that Beckie was going to be my last doll, but then we went to Denver for Thanksgiving, and we went to the American Girl store there. It was shortly after the release of InnerstarU, and I really wanted a doll. I thought this doll was so cute, but I didn't want to beg for her, because my mom said to not buy any dolls, even though I had the money. The day before we left, my mom figured out how much I wanted her, though, and we talked about it and she said that if my dad would stop there on our way home, we could buy her, but my dad said no. Then, on our way home, my dad pulled into the AGP parking lot, and said to go inside and get her!!!! I was sooooooooo excited! Katelyn has beautiful silky blond hair, she's such a wonderful doll and I'm so glad I got her! Katelyn is 8.
